WELL WHERE TO START. If you haven't got The Clockworks on radar, and pride yourself as being the one who 'found them first' then you absolutely need to get listening to these guys.
"They have a strong, punchy dynamic, drawing on intense post-punk influenced music to soundtrack snarling kitchen sink observations".
The group have also been signed to Alan McGee’s new record label ‘Creation23’ immediately after their move to London (from Ireland), if you're not quite sure why that's so impressive, this is the guy who signed: Oasis, Primal Scream and My Bloody Valentine... trust me it's a big deal! The quartet have impressed audiences in London and beyond with an array of gigs and live performances including shows at Eurosonic, Electric Picnic, Sefton Park in Liverpool where they opened for Kings of Leon, as well as playing live on Soccer AM on Sky 1.
“The best rehearsal I have seen since the 90s with Oasis is The Clockworks. What a band…” – Alan McGee
Their new song 'Feels So Real' is an incredibly written song, observing London streets in a stunningly blunt yet beautiful way. Paired up with the grungy vocals from James McGregor creates a uniquely modern punk anthem. Pulling in their love for spoken word and poetry mashed with their many musical influences such as The Smiths and Arctic Monkeys is abundant, but in a way that makes it their own. These guys are really on for huge things.
These guys are also due to go on tour with legends Inhaler:
